Meet Your Tutor: Alana Elizabeth Paje

Meet Your Tutor: Sarah Morrissey
Alana is a first-year undergrad student at the University of California, Davis. She majors in Biological Sciences and hopes to attend medical school. Her main interests within the medical field are oncology and genetics. Though her undergrad path is STEM-oriented, Alana has always possessed a passion for literacy - both scientific and recreational. Apart from education, she enjoys reading, basketball, playing with her cat, volunteering, working out, watching movies (especially Harry Potter), trying new food, and spending time with family/friends. As an English tutor, Alana aims to connect with each student on a personal level, creating a safe and supportive environment where they feel understood beyond the classroom setting.
Sarah is a first-year undergrad student at the University of California, San Diego studying education sciences. Her love of the arts and media has fueled all her studies and hobbies, from literary writing, sketching, musical theater, film arts, to video games. She loves drawing fantasy characters just as much as she does playing cozy games like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Undertale. At the heart of Sarah’s passions is a drive for media literacy and the ability to critically engage minds, both young and old, in communication. Having worked with students K-12 in both classroom and one-on-one tutoring spaces, there is nothing more important to her than inspiring young minds to be kind, celebrate learning, and appreciate the self.
